⇓in character⇓

PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Yes

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Yes

ROMANCE/FLIRTING: Yes, but don't expect reciprocation without a lot of effort.

SEXUAL CONTENT: I will likely never play sex scenes, but if things progress this way, I am OK with handwaving.

PSYCHIC ABILITIES: Ask/communicate first

MAGIC/POWERS: General magical attacks, absolutely; more intrusive power usage, ask/communicate first

MEDICAL INFORMATION: I'm not sure what this means, but Lysithea is the product of human experimentation and therefore is physically very frail and has a shortened lifespan. This will be less true due to the rebirth of Deer Country, but in general, will still play a role.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS OR TRIGGERS: Lysithea will respond strongly and violently to the idea of performing any sort of human experimentation as well as to any harm to children.

⇓out of character⇓

BACKTAGGING: Yes! Please do.

FOURTH WALLING: Anything short of 'oh you're Lysithea from my favorite game Fire Emblem: Three Heroes' is probably fine. But please ask/communicate first.

THREADHOPPING: Almost always yes, ask first.

CONTENT I ABSOLUTELY NEED WARNINGS FOR, BUT CAN STILL PLAY: I am not a huge fan of extreme body horror in general, but can live with it. Let me know in advance if intense body horror will be involved. Also highly dislike eye trauma.

CONTENT I ABSOLUTELY NEED WARNINGS FOR AND THAT I CAN'T PLAY: This will almost certainly never happen, but death from radiation poisoning and descriptions of such is off the table for me.

Original Deerington Application

• Additional Adjustments to include:
(2+) Positive Experiences:
One of Lysithea's favorite memories is perhaps a bit dull, but it's simply a moment when the leader of her House, Claude, acknowledges her strength and fully discloses the extent to which he relies on her. Up to this point, Claude has never taken anything seriously and constantly teases her about everything from her fear of ghosts to her appearance. She finds this exasperating, of course, as she absolutely detests being treated in a condescending manner. When Claude affirms her strength and his need for her on the battlefield, she feels suddenly as if she doesn't even know how to respond - this is a great surprise from somebody who endeavors to be as flippant as possible. This is a key moment in their relationship, as Lysithea was fairly cool to her leader before (as she is with most everyone.) After this moment, they trust each other much more.

In Deerington, Lysithea formed a strong connection with Mako, and there were several moments throughout the game that showcased positive growth from Lysithea. One of these moments was finally sharing with Mako the truth of what had happened to her as a child. This is (obviously) something that she doesn't like to discuss, but her previous attitude was to present it as nonchalantly and matter-of-factly as possible, simply stating that it was something that had happened in the past and that it no longer affected her. Obviously, this is not true. Lysithea was finally able to be genuine, explaining how this event informed her entire life. How because her lifespan was shortened, she needed to work twice as hard to accomplish everything she needed. How because her parents had been so emotionally devastated, she owed it to them to make sure that their final days were spent peacefully. How she worked so hard to be taken seriously despite her age and how she never felt like she measured up in anyone's eyes. These conversations helped her begin to come to terms with what had happened, truly viewing its impact instead of sweeping it into the corner of her mind. In turn, Mako shared many of his experiences, and they found that there were many similarities between their characters.

(2+) Negative Experiences:
A strong example of Lysithea's childishness is shown in her canon interactions with her classmate, Ignatz. Wary of being viewed as a child herself, she tears into Ignatz for a series of minor mistakes, accusing him of being a sheepish scatterbrained oaf, inept and utterly incapable. Though this comes off as extremely harsh, her reaction was triggered by Ignatz's attempts to convince her that it would be alright to act her age. Having fought her entire life to be taken seriously, she responds poorly to this kind of encouragement. This interaction demonstrates Lysithea's insecurities about herself - despite that she is extraordinarily competent and conducts herself as perfectly as possible, she's always afraid that she's viewed in a negative light. Ironically, this extremely strong reaction betrays her actual childishness. Nobody who was actually mature and self-possessed would respond in such a manner, and this is a moment that Lysithea looks back on with some shame. In Deerington, she remembered this interaction and reflected on how far she still had to grow if she wanted to actually be an adult.

A second informative negative interaction occurred in Deerington with the character of Darth Maul, although this was tangential to their actual interactions (as they only had a single conversation). His general inability to control himself led to several rampages and serious injuries over the course of a mere few months, including people Lysithea cared for greatly, such as Luz. When the discussion of what to do about him came up, Lysithea agreed fully that he ought to be disposed of or dealt with by any means necessary. This demonstrates her severe viewpoint and her background. Coming from a wartorn land where people are killed on a regular basis (and where she regularly kills enemies), she has no qualms about serious punishment for somebody who cannot behave in society. She found herself irritated by some of the more peaceful residents of Deerington, finding their concerns to be a bit naive.

Lysithea is being canon updated to a few months prior to the reappearance of the Professor. At this point, she has progressed through much of the war, which is currently at a bit of a stalemate. Though the Leicester Alliance has not fallen to any army per se, they're not in a great position as they've always been the weakest of the three nations. However, the Empire and the Kingdom are at each other's throats too much to pay much attention to them. Some of the Alliance members tentatively support the Empire while others desire freedom and independence. Lysithea's House, the Ordelias, support the Empire largely due to the incredible amount of trauma they experienced the last time they resisted. Lysithea herself is somewhat upset that her father would do this, as the Empire was responsible for their personal tragedy, though she sees the practicality of the action.

Though she left Deerington, Lysithea has gone to sleep with the antler every night, believing and feeling that she is on borrowed time. After a particularly scathing argument with her family, she goes to sleep and is transported back during a time when she feels great conflict in her heart. Will the war ever end? And what role does she even play in it now? She feels, perhaps, that at this point, there isn't anything she can reasonably do... Her friends fight for the Alliance while her parents do not dare step out against the Empire. Lysithea herself is stuck in a quandary and conscious that her precious time is slipping away. Perhaps a totally different point of view will help...

When she reawakens back in Deerington to an almost empty town and a path leading to a doorway, she knows what she needs to do.

Deer Country Attributes

• Canon Powers: Lysithea's canon powers as a mage will be intact. She will continue to make use of Light Magic and Dark Magic.
• Blood Type: Darkblood. Lysithea's blood powers will be stronger than her canon powers. Her ultimate offensive spells, which formerly could pulverize even immense beings with ease, will be nerfed down to the level of mid-tier offensive spells. Initially, her blood powers will be weak, but as she practices with them, they will grow stronger.
• Omen: cake obviously. ...Fine, a monochrome phoenix that 'burns' white. When required to shrink to fit into a building, it looks more like a turtledove that sits calmly on Lysithea's shoulder. Its name is Styx.
• Blessed Day: September 3rd, the date Lysithea entered Deerington (and the date that I'm posting this app...)
• Patron Pthumerian: Never Mind. Lysithea is delighted with this and will spend as much time with Never Mind as humanly possible.
• Blood Power Manifestation: Lysithea's blood powers will largely revolve around altering time, as she concerns herself with time so very much. Its initial manifestation will be that in times of great distress, she will find that things seem to slow down around her, giving her more time to think and to plan. As she develops this power, she will be able to slow down time at will when she needs to or even stop time altogether, stepping outside reality for a moment, though this is extremely difficult and taxes her a great deal. At some point in development, Lysithea will infrequently and under great duress be able to rewind time for a few seconds to prevent something truly terrible from happening. Lysithea will have no telekinetic abilities and I plan for some mild reality altering abilities that line up with her general confidence. This will be mostly subconscious - if Lysithea is very very sure of something, the odds that it happens will tick up a tiny bit.
